In life many moments could be ordered into a group named Frivolous. A moment lacking purpose, worth or importance. On the most out laying surface this moment has no effect on your life or the life of others. A moment which is seemingly lost in the time passing. This moment could consist of leaving your house one minute earlier than normal. Possibly looking in one direction than the other. Sharing that toilet joke you heard. Leaving your water glass on the counter. Or just not saying anything at all. These all might seem quite insignificant or having no effect on the wider scheme of life.
In the future that moment could be forgotten or not even recognized. So many moments in life we just live and move along with the "daily tasks" and everything leading to and from them. Taking for granted so many minutes of life that could be very significant. Doing one thing with out even noticing how EVERYTHING we do effects a much larger part of this world.
Taking a closer look at these, at first notion being frivolous acts, you might change your mind... In fact leaving your house that ONE minute earlier could have saved you from that inebriated fool who swung around the corner and over the line two blocks from your home. Possibly a child over hears that dirty joke and innocently tells it to his parents. Who decidingly beat them for such perverse language, leading the child into a life of self hatred. Then keeping thoughts to yourself when that one word of encouragement, not said, could have emanated the relationship of a lifetime.
In each moment holds something that could be life altering; if not for you than some one or something else. That pencil you like to tap could set off a neighboring cubicle. Keeping knowledge to yourself; because of insecurities which could of helped stop the wasted hours of someone else's worries. Just remember each moment is its own and impacts more than is seen at first. Next time you are a part of a frivolous moment or observe what could be "classified" as one, just remember that in the least bit, that moment quite possibly impacted a whole new revelation or chain reaction into existence.
Also one must be sure to make lightness and have actions of frivolousness in this life. One who takes life with abounding seriousness will surely not have a life with freedom, happiness and the wonderful moments which can only be described as simply carefree.
