Spring Forward & take your Community with you!

1. Going Green...
2. Composting...
3. Recycle...

1. Going Green...

Going Green is a statement becoming more and more popular! In this day it should not only be a statement, but a way of life and should be taken seriously.
A great way of going green is, instead of putting all waste from your household in one big (garbage) can, recycle and compost.
Link below is my place for updates on what i am starting for my community and easy steps you can do for your home and possibly your community also!

2. Composting...

This may sound tricky or maybe icky to some people, but in reality, landfills will give you a big thankyou and so will the new spring growth!
Composting your vegetable waste, egg shells, coffee grounds, and so forth will give a great contribution to creating a nutritional compost.
There are many options when it comes to placement of a compost "pile". If you have large amount of space.. just starting a pile with some dirt, garden clippings and the kitchen wastes in the back of your yard will do.
If you live in an small area where excess space isn't even in your imagination, then there are many options for composting bins. From wooden boxes to small tumbler bins that are completely contained. click link below for many different options...

3. Recycle...

Over the past few years as i have become more and more aware of what i dispose of; I have realized that I have contributed enough to our states landfills! With just a simple organizational tool (a few boxes or bins) to sort the cardboard, cans, glass, etc. I give back to our community and myself. Recycling is nothing new and also to many nothing old. I took a trip to hawaii a while back and was amazed... there are some beaches LITTERED with plastics that have washed ashore from the mainlands and where ever else. So much plastics that don't get recycled get washed out to sea and create large masses of swirling plastic "islands" in the pacific ocean. So, why not throw stuff in the garbage that could be put to use and reused for the products we already create and use everyday? Well can you think of the wonderful purpose our garbage serves sitting in a landfill, polluting our land. Our land which should be cherished and not be our big garbage can for everything we create and then get rid of when we personally have no use for. Giving back is easy.... contacting your local waste management company can give you the low down. Weather they offer a weekly pickup or where your local drop off is!

Well enough of my sermon on recycling... in short terms, we have all heard it before. . . Reduce, Reuse, Recycle... every little bit helps, for you, your family, community and world!
